Home Page Transaction/Non-Transaction Pages Resources and Files Pros & Cons

Each tab within the Client Portal App serves a specific function. Below is a detailed guide:

Home Page

  • Resolve Transactions & Ask Questions
    • Address any unresolved transactions and non-transactions promptly.
    • Use the MLW section to ask any necessary questions.
  • Switch Between Entities & Profiles
    • Use the drop-down list (in top right-hand corner) to navigate between different entities and profiles (if applicable).
    • This allows you to check for outstanding transactions or view other entities' financials for a given entity/profile.
  • Upload Documents
    • Click the plus (+) button in the bottom right to upload documents related to the selected entity/profile.
    • If a document is requested and there is no existing non-transactional question for it, you will need to upload it directly by selecting the “Upload photo” or “Upload file” button.
      • Examples of common uploads: W-9s, Bank statements (CSV files), Invoices, etc.

Transaction/Non-Transaction Pages

  • Transaction Page
    • Displays all suspense items/ transactions related to your books for a given entity that require a response.
  • Non-Transaction Page
    • Includes miscellaneous questions that may require file uploads.
  • How to Respond to Transactions & Upload Files
    • To respond to a specific transaction or question, click on a specific transaction/question and provide details about charges. (As shown in the image below)
    • To upload invoices or other necessary files, click the plus (+) button at the bottom right.

Resources and Files

  • Resources Section
    • Contains important documents such as employee payroll forms (Employee Payroll Form for new hires, I-9s, W-9 templates, etc.).
  • Files Tab
    • Stores 1099s, BPPs, Consult Reports and other business documents for easy access (depending on the profile you have selected in the top right corner).

Pros & Cons

 

Pros:

✅Review and comment on specific transactions on the go

✅Quickly upload invoices and statements to specific transactions

✅Quick access to financials, consult reports and tax returns

✅Efficiently move between entities and personal pages

 

Cons:

❌If one has a long suspense report

❌If one has multiple file uploads
